What Mergeline is

A secure portal where
clients edit their static sites.

Every edit becomes a Git branch with a preview URL. You review the code. They publish the change. Nobody has to email the other about a typo ever again.

Dynamic forms

Content types auto-detected from the repo become editable forms. No schema definition required, no migration dance, no headaches.

Conversational AI

"Add a product" or "update the third paragraph." The AI guides clients through structured content or copy edits in plain English.

Preview before publish

Every change is a Git branch with a live preview URL. Clients see exactly what will go live, then publish with one click.

Developer guardrails

A simple config file controls what clients can edit. Optional approval gate lets you review before anything touches main.

How it works

Three steps.
That's the whole flow.

Step 01 · Connect
Point it at a repo

Install the Mergeline GitHub App on your client's static site. Mergeline scans the repo, detects content types, and generates a portal config.

Step 02 · Edit
Clients work in their portal

Clients log into a branded portal at a subdomain. They edit through forms or a guided AI chat. Every change is a Git branch behind the scenes.

Step 03 · Publish
Preview, review, ship

Clients preview changes on a live URL, then publish. The branch merges to main, Cloudflare Pages rebuilds, the site goes live. No friction.

Who it's for

Developers and agencies
who build modern static sites.

Primary
The solo developer

Builds 5 to 20 static sites a year for small businesses, nonprofits, or creative clients. Maintains them indefinitely. Loves Astro or Next, loathes WordPress.

Clients constantly ask for small content changes
Tried headless CMSs, they were too complex for clients
Wants clients empowered without losing code quality
Secondary
The small agency

Team of 2 to 10. Manages 20 to 100 client sites. Has internal patterns for structured content but wastes hours on content coordination and email ping-pong.

Wants a white-labeled client experience
Needs approval gates and role control
Bills clients for retainer content work, wants to reduce it

Be the first to build sites
with your clients.
